THE PROJECT ENTAILED THE CONSTRUCTION OF A STEEL PORTAL FRAMED  TIMBER CLAD BUILDING DESIGNED TO MIMIC THE LOOK OF A “LILLY PAD” BY UTILISING STEEL COLUMNS TO IMITATE THE RHIZOMES BENEATH THE SURFACE OF THE WATER. THE UNCOMPROMISING CONTEMPORARY STYLE IS SOFTENED BY THE USE OF HAND MADE BRICKS AND LIME MORTAR FOR THE EXTERNAL WALLS. OAK FRAMED WINDOWS AND DOORS WHERE APPROPRIATE COMPLETE WITH FEATURE SHADING SCREENS AFFIXED TO THE OUTSIDE OF THE FEATURE GLASS WINDOWS ALONG WITH AN AEROFOIL EDGED THE SEDUM GREEN ROOF TO FURTHER COMPLIMENT THE GARDEN ENVIRONMENT.
